Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2026
Welcome to Reeqip (‘we,’ ‘our,’ ‘us’). These Terms & Conditions (‘Terms’) govern your use of the Reeqip website and platform (collectively, the ‘Platform’). By accessing or using Reeqip, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility & Account Registration
- You must be at least 18 years old to create a Reeqip account and use the Platform.
- You must be a resident of the United Kingdom. Reeqip operates exclusively within the UK.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your account details up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You may not create more than one account or create an account on behalf of another person without their explicit consent.
- Reeqip reserves the right to verify your identity and refuse registration at its sole discretion.
2. Role of Reeqip
- Reeqip is a peer-to-peer marketplace facilitator that connects buyers and sellers of pre-loved sports gear. We are not a seller and do not own, manufacture, or take possession of any products listed on the Platform.
- Contracts for the sale of goods are formed directly between the buyer and the seller. Reeqip is not a party to those contracts.
- While we review listings before they go live, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, quality, safety, legality, or authenticity of any product listed by sellers.
- Reeqip facilitates payment collection and holds funds in escrow on behalf of buyers and sellers. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Reeqip does not store card data.
- Reeqip arranges shipping labels on behalf of sellers as part of the platform service. The shipping (postage) cost is charged to the buyer at cost and passed through to Reeqip to cover the carrier label. It is a separate line from the product price and from the buyer protection fee, and is not subject to platform commission.
3. Listing & Selling
- To sell on Reeqip, you must complete Stripe Connect onboarding. This involves identity verification by Stripe in accordance with financial regulations. You must not begin selling until Stripe Connect onboarding is confirmed as complete.
- All product listings are subject to review and approval by Reeqip before becoming visible to buyers. We reserve the right to reject or remove any listing at our discretion.
- You must describe your item accurately and honestly. This includes the correct condition grade: New (unused, with tags), Excellent (used once or twice, like new), Good (some signs of use, fully functional), or Fair (visible wear, still usable). Misdescription of condition is grounds for listing removal and account suspension.
- All images must be your own photographs of the actual item being sold. Stock images or images of a different item are not permitted.
- By listing a product, you confirm that you own it and have the legal right to sell it, it is free from any encumbrance or finance agreement, and it is not stolen or counterfeit.
- Once a sale is confirmed, you are legally obligated to fulfil the order. Cancelling accepted orders without valid reason may result in account suspension.
- Sports categories currently supported: cricket, football, tennis, golf, rugby, hockey, and other. Items outside these categories will not be approved.
4. Buying & Payments
- By placing an order, you enter into a binding contract with the seller. You should review the product description, photos, and condition grade carefully before purchasing.
- Payment is collected at the time of purchase via Stripe. You will be charged: the product price, a postage fee (charged at cost), and a buyer protection fee. The buyer protection fee is £0.30 plus 8% of the item price; it is shown explicitly on the checkout page before you confirm your order. See Buyer Protection Fee for what the fee covers. Reeqip does not store your card details — all payment data is handled securely by Stripe.
- Funds are held in escrow by Reeqip until the order is completed (see section 7). Your payment is protected during transit.
- All prices are shown in GBP (£). No additional VAT is charged on peer-to-peer sales between private individuals. Club shops or business sellers may be responsible for their own VAT obligations.
- You will receive email and in-app notifications at each stage of your order: when the seller prints the label, when your parcel is scanned by the carrier, and when it arrives at your chosen collection point.
5. Shipping & Collection
- Reeqip uses a PUDO (Pick-Up Drop-Off) shipping model. There is no home delivery. Buyers select a collection point at checkout; sellers drop the parcel at a designated drop-off location.
- Sellers are responsible for printing their shipping label (available in the Seller Dashboard once payment is confirmed) and dropping the parcel at the designated location (currently: an Evri ParcelShop, or a Post Office for Royal Mail services). The label must be securely attached to the parcel. Sellers should retain their proof of postage.
- Buyers must collect their parcel from the Evri ParcelShop they selected at checkout. Collection information and tracking updates will be sent by email and shown in your order timeline. Parcels not collected within the carrier's retention period may be returned to the seller.
- Reeqip generates and pays for the shipping label on the seller's behalf. The postage cost is charged to the buyer at checkout and passed through to Reeqip to cover label costs. It is not subject to platform commission.
- Tracking is updated automatically on your order page. You will be notified when the parcel is scanned at drop-off, in transit, and ready for collection.
- Reeqip is not liable for carrier delays, lost parcels, or damage in transit, but will work with the carrier on your behalf to investigate and resolve claims. Sellers must retain proof of postage to support any claim.
6. Fees & Commission
- Reeqip charges sellers a platform commission on each completed sale. The standard commission rate is 0.00% of the product sale price.
- Commission is calculated on the product price only. The buyer protection fee collected from the buyer is excluded from the commission calculation.
- For example: a £29.99 sale at 0.00% results in a commission of £0.00 and a seller payout of £29.99.
- Club shops and business partners may have individually negotiated commission rates. These are agreed in writing with Reeqip and applied to the relevant store. The standard rate applies to all other sellers.
- Commission is deducted from the seller's payout at the point funds are released from escrow. There are no listing fees or monthly subscription charges for standard sellers.
- Reeqip reserves the right to amend its fee structure. Sellers will be given at least 14 days' notice of any changes to the commission rate via email.
7. Payouts
- Sellers receive payment via Stripe Connect. You must complete Stripe Connect onboarding, including identity verification, before any payout can be made.
- Funds are held in escrow from the time of purchase until the order is marked as completed. An order is completed when either: the buyer confirms receipt through the Platform, or 4 days pass after confirmed delivery with no action taken by the buyer (automatic release).
- Once released, payouts are transferred to the seller's connected Stripe account. Stripe's standard payout schedule then applies (typically 2–5 business days to your bank account, depending on your Stripe settings).
- Payouts may be held or delayed if a dispute is open, if Reeqip has reason to suspect fraud or a policy violation, or if Stripe requires additional verification.
- Reeqip is not liable for delays caused by Stripe or your bank.
8. Returns & Refunds
- Buyers have 4 days from the confirmed delivery date to request a return through the Platform. Return requests must be submitted via the order timeline — not by contacting the seller directly.
- Valid grounds for a return include: item significantly not as described, incorrect item received, or item arrived damaged. ‘Change of mind’ returns are at the seller's discretion.
- The seller will be notified of the return request and must respond within 3 days. If approved, the buyer ships the item back to the seller using a prepaid shipping label that Reeqip generates and sends to the buyer by email. Reeqip pays for return postage — buyers are not charged for the return label. In rare cases where Reeqip cannot auto-generate a label (for example, address validation issues), Reeqip support will email a label within one working day.
- Once the seller confirms receipt of the returned item and it meets the agreed condition, a refund of the product price and original postage will be issued to the buyer. The buyer protection fee is non-refundable when a refund is processed — the fee has covered the cost of escrow handling, dispute review and refund processing, so it is treated as earned. See Buyer Protection Fee for the full explanation. An exception applies if the payment authorisation is voided before any money moves (for example, the seller fails to ship and Reeqip cancels the order pre-capture) — in that case nothing has been charged and you receive the full amount back automatically.
- After the 4-day window closes without a return request being raised, the sale is treated as final and funds are released to the seller.
9. Dispute Resolution
- If a buyer and seller cannot resolve an issue between themselves, either party may raise a formal dispute through the Platform order timeline. Disputes must be raised within 4 days of delivery.
- Once a dispute is raised, funds remain in escrow until it is resolved. Reeqip will review the evidence provided by both parties — including order history, messages, photos, and tracking information — and make a determination.
- Both parties agree to cooperate fully with Reeqip's dispute investigation, including providing photographs, tracking details, and correspondence within 48 hours of request.
- Reeqip's decision in any dispute is final and binding on both parties. We aim to resolve all disputes within 5 business days of all evidence being received.
- Abuse of the dispute process — including false claims or withholding evidence — may result in account suspension.
10. Prohibited Items
The following items must not be listed on Reeqip:
- Counterfeit, replica, or fake branded goods (e.g. fake Nike, Adidas, Gray-Nicolls items)
- Stolen goods or items obtained through fraudulent means
- Unsafe or recalled sports equipment (e.g. damaged helmets, cracked protective gear, faulty electrical items)
- Weapons, blades, or items regulated under UK law (including combat sports equipment that requires age verification)
- Non-sports items or items outside the supported categories
- Items subject to export controls or trade sanctions
- Any item the sale of which would be illegal under UK law
Reeqip reserves the right to remove any listing at any time and to report suspected illegal activity to the relevant authorities.
11. Intellectual Property
- All content you upload to the Platform (product photos, descriptions) remains your intellectual property. By uploading content, you grant Reeqip a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and use that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.
- You must not upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of third parties, including brand logos, protected imagery, or content you do not own or have permission to use.
- Reeqip's name, logo, trademarks, website design, and platform code are the exclusive property of Reeqip. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without prior written permission.
12. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:

- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, its systems, or other users' accounts
- Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to interact with the Platform without prior written consent
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions
- Engage in any activity that disrupts, damages, or impairs the Platform's operation
13. Limitation of Liability
- Reeqip acts as a marketplace facilitator and is not liable for the actions, products, or conduct of buyers or sellers on the Platform.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reeqip's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Reeqip in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- Reeqip is not liable for: loss of profits, loss of data, indirect or consequential losses, carrier delays or lost parcels, or any loss arising from reliance on user-generated content.
- Nothing in these Terms limits Reeqip's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable UK law.
- The Platform is provided ‘as is’ and we make no warranties regarding uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors.
14. Termination
- We may suspend or permanently terminate your account without notice if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law.
- In cases of suspension, any funds held in escrow relating to open orders will be dealt with in accordance with the outcome of those orders or, in the event of fraud, may be withheld pending investigation.
- You may close your account at any time by contacting us at info@reeqip.com. You must fulfil any outstanding orders before account closure. Existing payout obligations will be honoured after closure.
- Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that have already arisen under these Terms.
15. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and store your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
